On the morning of 10th November, at the merging classroom, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department convened the student representative symposium which was attended by 5 student representatives in each class from Grade 2 to Grade 6. The forum was chaired by Young Pioneers Counselor Rao Dan. Also in attendance were Principal Huang Zuning and Deputy Director Xu Degao both with the Primary Division.
In the first place, Counselor Rao Dan explained the purpose and significance of this symposium. He stressed that everyone should exchange proposals& issues that existed in life and study.
In the second place, in a lighthearted atmosphere, the attending school leaders and teachers listened earnestly and interacted with student delegates, who actively spoke out their mind freely without reticence. Therefore, all participants enjoyed a warm, equal and harmonious atmosphere.
In the third place, student representatives put forward the existing issues and hopes with regard to students’ classroom learning, recess activities, school-bus ride, dining issues in addition to their midday rest. Meanwhile, student deputies came up with ideas and suggestions concerning teaching activities, life service and so on.
In summary, not only did this symposium fully embody students’ sense of ownership, but also reflected Anqing Foreign Language School’s respect on the subject position of the students. The Primary Section shall collaborate with other departments to further improve education, teaching& life service and create a more favorable learning& living environment for our elementary students’ healthy and happy growth.
